- Raise and suitably support the hood.
- Remove the hood hold-open rod (1) from the retaining clip (3).
- Rotate the hold-open rod (1) from the normal rest position 90 degrees counterclockwise.
- Pull forward and remove the hold-open rod (1) from the grommet (2).
