Installation Procedure

- Install the front pipe to the vehicle.
- Install the front pipe to the front pipe hanger (2).
- Install the following components to the front pipe to the Three Way Catalytic Converter (TWC) exhaust pipe:
- The 2 springs
- The 2 bolts
- Tighten
- Tighten the front pipe-to-Three Way Catalytic Converter (TWC) exhaust pipe bolts to 43 N.m (32 lb ft).
- Install the following components to the exhaust manifold:
- The 2 springs
- The 2 bolts
- Tighten
- Tighten the front pipe-to-exhaust manifold bolts to 43 N.m (32 lb ft).
- Install the floor panel brace.
- Tighten
- Tighten the front pipe floor brace nuts to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).
- Install the oxygen sensors. Refer to the following procedures:
- HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR 1 or HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR 1 in Engine Contols-1.8L (LV6)
- HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR 1 in Engine Contols-1.8L (LV6)
- HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR 2 or HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR 2 in Engine Controls-1.8(LNK)
- HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR 2 in Engine Controls-1.8(LNK)
- Lower the vehicle.
