Removal Procedure

2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer 4.2 S, 4WDSECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the vehicle. Support the vehicle. Refer to JACKING AND LIFTING - AWD .
  2. Remove the Heated Oxygen Sensor 2 (HO2S2). Refer to HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR 2 or HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR 2 in Engine Controls - 1.8L(LV6).
  3. Remove the bolts securing the front pipe to the Three-Way Catalytic Converter (TWC).
    1. Remove the bolt and clamp securing the Three-Way Catalytic Converter (TWC) to the muffler/tail pipe assembly.
  4. Remove the hangers from the rear of the TWC (2).
  5. Remove the TWC from the vehicle.
  6. Clean the gasket and seal mating surfaces.
