- Position the negative battery cable (2) into the vehicle.NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
- Connect the cable to the transaxle housing. Secure with the ground bolt (1).
Tighten
Tighten the ground bolt to 23 N.m (17 lb ft).
- Connect the cable to the body. Secure with the ground bolt (3).
Tighten
Tighten the body ground bolt to 14 N.m (124 lb in).
- Route the cable and secure it in the harness retainer.
- Install the battery tray.
- Install the battery. Refer to BATTERY REPLACEMENT .
