2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer 4.2 S, 4WDSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Verify that all electrical components are off such as interior lights, all doors are closed, the underhood lamp, etc.
  2. Clean corrosion from the negative battery cable using a metal brush.
  3. Install the battery negative cable (3) to the battery (5).
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the retaining bolt to the battery negative cable.

    TightenΒ 

    Tighten the battery negative cable to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).

  5. Reset the radio stations and the clock.
