2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer 4.2 S, 4WDSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Install the hood to the vehicle with an assistant.
  2. Align the hood hinges to the alignment marks on the hood.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the bolts to the upper hood hinge, with an assistant.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the upper hood hinge bolts to 27 N.m (20 Ib ft).

  4. Install the assist rods to the hood. Refer to ASSIST ROD REPLACEMENT - HOOD  .
  5. Adjust the hood. Refer to HOOD ADJUSTMENT  .
