2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer 4.2 S, 4WDSECTION Installation Procedure

Important:Β 

  • Never use a hammer to install the power steering pulley.
  • The face of the power steering pulley hub must be flush with the end of the power steering pump driveshaft.
  1. Using J 25033-CΒ  install the power steering pump pulley to the power steering pump.
  2. Install the power steering pump to the engine. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement (3.8L)Β  or Power Steering Pump Replacement (3.1L)Β  .
  3. Fill the power steering system. Refer to Checking And Adding Power Steering FluidΒ  .
  4. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Bleeding The Power Steering SystemΒ  .
  5. Inspect the power steering system for leaks. Refer to Power Steering Fluid LeaksΒ  .
