Installation Procedure
2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer 4.2 S, 4WDSECTION Installation Procedure

- If replacing the condenser, add refrigerant oil to the condenser. Refer to Refrigerant System Capacities for system capacity information.
- Install the upper rubber mounts on to the condenser.
- Install the lower ends of the condenser in to the lower rubber mounts.
Important: Ensure that the upper rubber mounts stay in place on the condenser.
- Tilt the top of the condenser in to place.
- Install the new O-ring seals onto the A/C compressor hose and the condenser tube. Refer to O-Ring Replacement .
- Connect the condenser tube to the condenser.NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
- Tighten the condenser tube nut.
Tighten
Tighten the nut to 27 N.m (20 lb ft).
- Connect the A/C compressor hose to the condenser.
- Install the A/C compressor hose block fitting nut to the condenser.
Tighten
Tighten the nut to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).
- Install the radiator. Refer to RADIATOR REPLACEMENT .
- Install the front fender upper diagonal. Refer to BRACE REPLACEMENT - FRONT FENDER UPPER DIAGONAL .
- Install the air cleaner assembly.
- Evacuate and recharge the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery And Recharging .
- Leak test the fittings of the component using J 39400-A .
