Spring Shackle: Removal

- Raise and support the vehicle.
- Remove the fuel tank 2-Door utility models.
- Remove the EVAP canister on 2-Door utility models.
- Remove spare tire, if necessary.
- Disconnect rear exhaust hangers and lower exhaust system, if necessary.
- Support the rear axle.
- Remove the frame to spring shackle mounting nut and bolt.
- Remove the leaf spring to spring shackle mounting nut and bolt. See Figure.
- Remove the spring shackle from the vehicle.
