Knock sensor is located on side of cylinder block. See Fig 1 . Turn ignition off. Disconnect negative battery cable. Raise and support vehicle. Disconnect starter wiring harness connectors. Remove starter bolts and starter. Disconnect knock sensor electrical connector. Remove knock sensor. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten knock sensor to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONSΒ  .
