Idle Air Control Valve: Installation

  1. Lubricate the IAC valve seal with clean engine oil. Install the IAC valve into the throttle body. Install a new IAC valve screw and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONSΒ  .
  2. Connect the IAC valve harness connector. Install air cleaner outlet resonator, air cleaner intake duct and vent hose. Reset the IAC valve pintle using the following procedure: Turn ignition on, with the engine off. Turn ignition off for 10 seconds. Start the engine and check for proper idle operation.
