2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer 4.2 S, 4WDSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Install a NEW thermostat gasket.
  2. Install the thermostat and gasket.
  3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the thermostat bolts.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  5. Install the coolant inlet pipe. Refer to Coolant Pipe Replacement - InletΒ .
  6. Install the heater pipes. Refer to Heater Pipes Replacement (LY7) in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.
  7. Install the throttle body assembly. Refer to Throttle Body Assembly Replacement .
  8. Install the air cleaner. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement in Engine Controls-3.6L (LY7).
  9. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling SystemΒ .
