- Mark the tape with the measurement for the proper location of the emblem.
- Warm the liftgate surface with a heat gun J 25070Β
152 mm (6 in) from the surface to a minimum of 21Β°C (70Β°F).IMPORTANT: Do not touch the adhesive backing of the emblem/nameplate.
- Remove the backing from the front end of the emblem/nameplate.
- Press the emblem/nameplate to the liftgate surface while continuing to remove the backing.
- Hand roll the emblem/nameplate to the liftgate to ensure proper adhesion.
- Inspect the emblem/nameplate for bonding.
- Remove the tape from the area around the liftgate emblem.
