Floor Console: Removal

2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer 4.2 S, 4WDSECTION Removal

  1. Block the wheels to prevent the vehicle from moving. Remove the rubber ash tray inserts and rubber mat from the console.
  2. Remove the floor shift knob. See FLOOR SHIFT KNOBΒ  . Remove the center console shift lever bezel (Bravada only). Remove the console storage bin. See FLOOR CONSOLE STORAGE BINΒ  .
  3. Remove the center console retaining screws. Adjust the parking brake to the fully engaged position.
  4. Release the 2 forward trim extensions ears attached to the lower instrument panel (Bravada only). Slide the console rearward and raise the rear of the console in order to expose the electrical connectors.
  5. Disconnect the electrical connectors as necessary. Adjust the parking brake to approximately the halfway position. Remove the center console from the vehicle. See Figure .
