Removal Procedure

2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer 4.2 S, 4WDSECTION Removal Procedure
  1. Close the window to the full up position.
  2. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - SIDE REAR DOORΒ Β  .Β 
  3. Remove the water deflector. Refer to WATER DEFLECTOR REPLACEMENT - REAR DOORΒ Β  .Β 
  4. Remove the inside door handle lock rods from the latch.

  6. Disconnect the outside handle lock rod from the outside handle.

  8. Remove the 3 fasteners that retain the latch to the door.

  10. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the latch.
  11. Remove the latch from the door.
  12. Remove the actuator from the latch. Refer to LOCK ACTUATOR REPLACEMENT - REAR DOORΒ Β  .Β
