Steering Column Trim Covers - Assemble - Off Vehicle: Notes
2002 Chevrolet Venture PlusSECTION Notes
- Install the shift lever seal (2) onto the shift lever assembly (4).NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
- Install the shift lever assembly (4) and secure it with the shift lever screw (3).
Tighten
Tighten the screw to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in).
- If necessary, install the trim cover protector (1) to the lower trim cover (2).
- Install the upper trim cover (2) and secure by using the TORX® head screw (1).
Tighten
Tighten the screw to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in).
- Install the lower trim cover (1) and secure by using 2 pan head tapping screws (2).
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 3.5 N.m (31 lb in).
- Install the tilt lever assembly. Refer to TILT LEVER REPLACEMENT - On Vehicle .
- Install the steering wheel onto the column. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement .
- Enable the inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
