- Disable the inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
- Remove the upper and lower trim covers. Refer to STEERING COLUMN TRIM COVERS - DISASSEMBLE - Off Vehicle .
- Remove the wire harness assembly (4) from the wire harness strap (5).
- Remove the wire harness straps (3) from the wire harness assembly (4).
- Remove the wire harness strap (2) from the upper tilt head assembly (1).
- Slide the turn signal switch assembly connectors (2) out from the bulkhead connector (1).
- Pull the PASSKEY® Mil (2) off of the electronic lock module assembly (1).
- Remove the key alarm connector (1) from the electronic lock module assembly (2).
- Remove the 2 tapping screws from the ignition key alarm switch assembly (3).
