Removal Procedure
2002 Chevrolet S10 Pickup 2D Pickup, 2.2 5, StandardSECTION Removal Procedure
- Remove the sunroof console, if equipped. Refer to DRIVER INFORMATION CENTER REPLACEMENT (WITHOUT SUNROOF) or DRIVER INFORMATION CENTER REPLACEMENT (WITH SUNROOF) in INSTRUMENT PANEL, GAGES & CONSOLE article.
- Remove the dome lamp. Refer to DOME LAMP REPLACEMENT (PICKUP) or DOME LAMP REPLACEMENT (UTILITY) in EXTERIOR LIGHTS article.
- Remove the sunroof opening trim, if equipped, by grasping it at the edge and pulling it away from the headliner.
- Remove the coat hooks. Refer to COAT HOOK REPLACEMENT (EXTENDED/CREW CAB PICKUP) , COAT HOOK REPLACEMENT (STANDARD CAB PICKUP) or COAT HOOK REPLACEMENT (UTILITY) .
- Remove the assist handles. Refer to ASSIST HANDLE REPLACEMENT .
- Remove the sunshades and the retainers. Refer to SUNSHADE REPLACEMENT .
- Remove the windshield garnish moldings. Refer to GARNISH MOLDING REPLACEMENT - WINDSHIELD PILLAR .
- Remove the body lock pillar trim panels (4-door models only). Refer to GARNISH MOLDING REPLACEMENT - SIDE DOOR LOCK PILLAR .
- Remove the upper seat belt anchor bolts (2-door models only).
- Remove the inside air temperature sensor grille.
- Remove the body side trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - BODY SIDE (STANDARD CAB PICKUP) , TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - BODY SIDE (EXTENDED CAB PICKUP) , TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - BODY SIDE (2-DOOR UTILITY) , TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - BODY SIDE (4-DOOR UTILITY) or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - BODY SIDE (CREW CAB) .
- Remove the rear upper garnish molding. Refer to GARNISH MOLDING REPLACEMENT - REAR UPPER .
- Remove the headliner from the vehicle.
