DOOR AJAR Indicator
Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) receives a class 2 message from BCM requesting illumination and illuminates DOOR AJAR indicator in message center when Body Control Module (BCM) detects that driver or passenger door is open. If vehicle is in a forward or reverse gear position, BCM sends a class 2 message to radio in order to activate an audible warning. Along with DOOR AJAR indicator illumination, 4 chimes will sound when vehicle is in forward or reverse gear.
