Installation Procedure

2002 Chevrolet Chevy Express G3500, Van Passenger Extended, 8.1 GSECTION Installation Procedure
  1. If required, install the engine mount bracket.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  2. Install the engine mount bracket-to-frame bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the engine mount bracket-to-frame bolts to 45 N.m (33 lb ft).

  3. If required, install the engine mount bracket.
  4. Install the engine mount bracket-to-engine bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the engine mount bracket-to-engine bolts to 54 N.m (40 lb ft).

  5. Install the engine mount.
  6. Install the engine mount bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the engine mount bolts to 58 N.m (43 lb ft).

  7. Lower the engine until the engine mount through bolt can be inserted.
  8. Install the engine mount through bolt and nut (left side shown, right side similar).

    Tighten 

    Tighten the engine mount through bolt to 95 N.m(70 lb ft).

  9. Remove the engine support.
  10. Lower the vehicle.
