To prevent accidental deployment, deploy air bag modules before disposal. DO NOT dispose of undeployed air bag modules at normal refuse locations. Undeployed air bag modules contain substances that can cause severe illness or personal injury if sealed container is damaged during disposal.

NOTE: If vehicle is to be scrapped, perform on-vehicle air bag deployment procedure. See ON-VEHICLE DEPLOYMENTΒ . If vehicle will remain in service, perform off-vehicle deployment procedure. See OFF-VEHICLE DEPLOYMENTΒ .

When to See a Mechanic
