Removal Procedure

2002 Chevrolet Cavalier Base, 4D Sedan, 2.4 TSECTION Removal Procedure
  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to DRAINING & FILLING COOLING SYSTEM - 2.2L (L61)Β .
  2. Loosen the coolant pump pulley bolts.
  3. Remove the accessory drive belt.
  4. Remove the coolant pump pulley bolts.
  5. Remove the coolant pump pulley.

  6. Remove the coolant pump bolts.
  7. Remove the coolant pump and the gasket.

  9. Completely clean the sealing surfaces of the coolant pump and the engine block.
