Installation Procedure
2002 Chevrolet Cavalier Base, 4D Sedan, 2.4 TSECTION Installation Procedure
- Install the thermostat (2).
- Install radiator outlet pipe.
- Install the radiator outlet pipe (1) to oil pan (2). Tighten the outlet pipe to oil pan bolt to 26 N.m (19 ft lbs).
- Connect the radiator hose (1) to the outlet pipe (3).
- Install trans-to-engine brace.
- Install right engine splash shield.
- Install right front wheel/tire assembly.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Install the outlet pipe bolts (1) through the exhaust manifold runners. Tighten bolts to 14 N.m (10 ft lbs).
- Install the exhaust manifold heat shield and bolts. Tighten the exhaust manifold heat shield bolts to 14 N.m (10 ft lbs).
- Fill the cooling system. Refer to DRAINING & FILLING COOLING SYSTEM - 2.2L (L61)Β .
- Start the engine. After the engine reaches normal operating temperature, check for coolant leaks.
