Removal Procedure

2002 Chevrolet Cavalier Base, 4D Sedan, 2.2 4, LN2, StandardSECTION Removal Procedure
  1. If equipped with an automatic transmission, remove the exhaust manifold. Refer to EXHAUST MANIFOLD REPLACEMENT (2.2L -- VINS 4 & 5) .
  2. Drain the cooling system. Refer to DRAINING & FILLING COOLING SYSTEM - 2.2L (L61)Β .
  3. Remove the thermostat housing to water pump feed pipe bolts.

  4. Remove the thermostat housing to water pump feed pipe.

  5. Remove the thermostat.
