- If equipped with an automatic transmission, remove the exhaust manifold. Refer to EXHAUST MANIFOLD REPLACEMENT (2.2L -- VINS 4 & 5) .
- Drain the cooling system. Refer to DRAINING & FILLING COOLING SYSTEM - 2.2L (L61)Β .
- Remove the thermostat housing to water pump feed pipe bolts.
- Remove the thermostat housing to water pump feed pipe.
- Remove the thermostat.
