Remote Transmitter Verification: Notes
Enter programming mode. See CUSTOMIZING CONTENT THEFT DETERRENT SYSTEM . Press UNLOCK button on remote transmitter. Count number of chimes (mode number). Press UNLOCK button on remote transmitter until proper number of chimes is obtained. When vehicle is shipped from factory, Mode 5 is set as a default mode. Continue customizing or exit programming mode.

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:

- • Brakes feel soft, pull hard to one side, or make grinding noises.
- • The engine overheats, stalls repeatedly, or misfires under load.
