- Connect DMM (J39200) to both ends of suspected harness connector, or from one end of a suspected circuit to another. Set rotary dial on DMM to AC or DC volts position. Press range button on DMM to select desired voltage range.
- Press MIN MAX button on DMM. DMM displays 100ms RECORD and emits an audible tone. Simulate condition by wiggling connections or wiring or performing other operations such as a test drive. Listen for an audible MIN MAX tone indicating a new minimum or maximum value has be recorded.
- Press MIN MAX button once to display MAX voltage value. Press MIN MAX button once more to display MIN voltage value. Compare difference between MAX and MIN voltage values. If difference between recorded MAX and MIN voltage values are one volt or more, and intermittent open or high resistance exists. Repair as necessary.
