IMPORTANT:
You must perform the new body control module (BCM) setup when replacing the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration .
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (LA1) or Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (LY7) in Engine Electrical.
- Remove the console accessory wiring junction block. Refer to Console Electrical Center or Junction Block Replacement in Wiring Systems.
- Rotate the BCM retaining lever (1) to release the BCM from the console accessory wiring junction block.
- Remove the BCM (2) from the console accessory wiring junction block.
