Enabling Air Bag System

2002 Chevrolet Avalanche 2500, RWDSECTION Enabling Air Bag System

  1. Ensure left side impact air bag module connector is connected, located under driver seat. See Fig 1.
  2. Ensure right instrument panel air bag module connector is connected, located at right side of instrument panel. See Fig 2.
  3. Ensure steering wheel air bag module connector is connected, located at left side of instrument panel. See Fig 3.
  4. Ensure SIR fuse is installed. Staying well away from all air bag modules, turn ignition switch to RUN position. AIR BAG indicator will flash 7 times. AIR BAG indicator will turn off. If AIR BAG indicator does not operate as described, perform air bag system diagnostic system check. See AIR BAG SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECKΒ .
