- Remove the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement (Rear Tank) , Fuel Tank Replacement (Cab/Chassis Rear) , Fuel Tank Replacement (Pickup) , Fuel Tank Replacement (Cab/Chassis Front) , Fuel Tank Replacement (Front Tank) .
- Remove fuel lines from fuel sender assembly. Refer to Fuel Hose/Pipe Assembly Replacement .
- Remove the fuel sender assembly retaining ring using the J 44402 .
- Remove the fuel sender assembly and the seal. Discard the seal.
- Clean the fuel sender sealing surfaces.
