IMPORTANT:
Make sure the flywheel is installed correctly. "Engine Side" is stamped on the flywheel to aid with installation.
- Install the engine flywheel.
Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
- Install the engine flywheel bolts.
TightenΒ
- Tighten the engine flywheel bolts a first pass to 80 N.m (59 lb ft).
- Tighten the engine flywheel bolts a final pass to 100 N.m (74 lb ft).
- Install the transmission. Refer to Transmission Replacement (With 8.1L Engine) in Automatic Transmission - Allison.
