2001 Chevrolet Suburban C1500SECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Loosen the outlet duct clamp at the upper intake manifold cover.
  2. Remove the upper intake manifold cover from the outlet duct.
  3. Remove the upper intake manifold cover.

  5. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to Draining & Filling Cooling SystemΒ .
  6. Remove the radiator inlet hose from the water outlet tube.

  7. Remove the bolt and wiring harness bracket at the thermostat housing.
  8. Disconnect the turbocharger coolant hose from the turbocharger bypass valve.

  9. Remove the turbocharger bypass valve and sealing washer from the water outlet tube.

  10. Remove the 2 bolts retaining the water outlet tube to the left valve rocker arm cover.
  11. Remove the bolt retaining the water outlet tube to the thermostat housing.
  12. Remove the water outlet tube.

  14. Remove and discard the O-ring seal.
