Removal Procedure
2001 Chevrolet Suburban C1500SECTION Removal Procedure

- Remove the fuel tank filler cap.
- Disconnect the negative battery cables.
- Raise the vehicle on a hoist. Refer to Lifting And Jacking The Vehicle in General Information.
- Remove the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement (Extended Cab Side Tank)Β or Fuel Tank Replacement (Cab and Chassis Rear Tank)Β or Fuel Tank Replacement (Cab and Chassis Side Tank)Β .
- Remove the sender unit by turning the cam lock counterclockwise using the J 36608Β fuel sender tool. See Special ToolsΒ .
