2001 Chevrolet Suburban C1500SECTION Installation Procedure

IMPORTANT: When installing an injection nozzle, use the J 29873Β  . See Special ToolsΒ . Install the nozzle using the 30 mm hex portion. Failure to do so will result in damage to the injection nozzle.

  1. Install the injection nozzle using J 29873Β  (apply anti-seize compound to threads of nozzle that contact the cylinder). See Special ToolsΒ .
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Tighten the nozzle.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the nozzle to 70 N.m (52 lb ft).

  5. Tighten the fuel injection line.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the nut to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  6. Install the fuel return hoses (1) on the nozzle (2).
  7. Install the fuel line clip.
  8. Install the negative battery cables.
