Removal Procedure
2001 Chevrolet Suburban C1500SECTION Removal Procedure
- Remove the battery cable junction block bracket bolts.
- Remove the fan and clutch. Refer to Fan Clutch Replacement in Engine Cooling.
- Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement - Accessory in Engine Mechanical - 8.1L.
- Remove the drive belt idler pulley. Refer to Drive Belt Idler Pulley Replacement in Engine Mechanical - 8.1L.
- Remove the generator. Refer to Generator Replacement (8.1L Engine) .
- Remove the generator bracket bolts and nut.
- Remove the generator bracket stud.
- Remove the generator bracket.
