Installation Procedure

2001 Chevrolet Suburban C1500SECTION Installation Procedure
  1. Install the power outlets to the end panel, if equipped.
  2. Install the console floor lamp, if equipped. Refer to Console Lamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
  3. Install the rear seat audio controls, if equipped. Refer to Rear Seat Audio Control Replacement in Entertainment.
  4. Install the rear seat heater switch, if equipped. Refer to Rear Seat Heater Switch Replacement in Seats.
  5. Connect all electrical connectors.
  6. Install the end panel to the console.

  8. Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.

    Install the 2 top retaining screws (1).

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screws to 1.6 N.m (14 lb in).

  10. Install the 4 retaining screws (1).

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screws to 1.6 N.m (14 lb in).

  11. Install the rear cupholder to the end panel. Refer to Front Floor Console Cup Holder Replacement .
  12. Install the storage bin. Refer to Front Floor Console Compartment Replacement (Non-Luxury) .
