Installation Procedure

2001 Chevrolet Suburban C1500SECTION Installation Procedure
  1. Install the cushion tilt mechanism, if equipped.
    2. Fig 1: Seat Adjuster Bar, Tracks, Cross Brace & EZ Rod

  2. Install the EZ entry rod (4), if equipped with the EZ entry feature.
  3. Install the cross brace (3).
  4. Install the bar (1) onto the racks (2). Bend the tabs in order to secure the bar.

  5. Refer to Fastener Notice .

    Install the inboard seat belt buckle and nut (1).

    Tighten 

    Tighten the nut to 53 N.m (39 lb ft).

  6. Connect the electrical connection (2).
  7. Install the seat adjuster track cover. Refer to Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement .
  8. Install the seat back hinge/recliner mechanism. Refer to Front Seat Back Hinge and Recliner Mechanism Replacement .
  9. Install the seat back frame. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Back Cushion Frame Replacement .
  10. Install the seat cushion frame. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Cushion Frame Replacement .
  11. Install the seat trim panel. Refer to Front Seat Trim Panel Replacement .
  12. Install the front seat in the vehicle. Refer to Front Seat Removal and Installation - Bucket .
