Safety Warning
DIY auto repair can cause serious injury, fire, or vehicle damage. These guides are for informational purposes only. Always follow OEM torque specs, wear PPE, and consult a certified mechanic if you are unsure. You are solely responsible for your safety.
Installation Procedure
The adhesion promoter must be used to assure adequate bonding of the base.
To obtain maximum adhesion between the new antenna base and the glass surface, the base and the glass must be kept dry and above 15Β°C (60Β°F) during the installation. Allow 6 to 8 hours at 15Β°C (60Β°F) for the adhesive to cure after installation.
Do not use any type of glue, adhesive tapes, etc. to reinstall the original antenna base. Doing so may eliminate the cellular signal to transfer through the glass and reduce the maximum performance of the system, including the air bag deployment notification.
