Removal Procedure

2001 Chevrolet Suburban C1500SECTION Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the seat from the vehicle. Refer to Front Seat Removal and Installation - BucketΒ .
  2. Remove the head restraint and guides. Refer to Head Restraint Replacement (Non-Cadillac)Β .
  3. Remove the seat back cover and pad. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Back Cushion Cover and Pad ReplacementΒ .
  4. Fig 1: Lumbar Clip

  5. Detach the lumbar clip from the top of the seat back frame.
  6. Rotate the top of the lumbar mechanism forward in order to unclip the lumbar mechanism from the bottom of the seat back frame.

  8. Disconnect the lumbar cable (6) from the lumbar actuator (5).
  9. Remove the lumbar assembly from the vehicle.
