Wiper Arm Tip Pressure Check
2001 Chevrolet Suburban C1500SECTION Wiper Arm Tip Pressure Check
- Run the wiper arms to the mid-wipe position.
- Remove the wiper blades from the wiper arms. Refer to Windshield Wiper Blade Replacement .
- Attach a scale to the end of the wiper arm and measure the force required to lift the wiper arm perpendicular to the windshield to normal working height with the blade attached.
- Replace the wiper arm if the measurement is not within the specification. Refer to Windshield Wiper Arm Replacement .
Tip Pressure
- Driver Side - 8.1-9.5 Newtons (29- 34 Ounces)
- Passenger Side - 5.8-7.0 Newtons (21- 25 Ounces)
