Removal Procedure
2001 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 HD, RWDSECTION Removal Procedure
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Single Battery)Β .
- Disconnect the terminal plug from the back of the generator.
- Disconnect the battery lead from the back of the generator.
- Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement in Engine Mechanical-4.3 L.
- Remove the generator mounting bolts.
- Remove the generator from the generator mounting bracket.
