When FRONT DEFROST is selected, air is directed toward the windshield with a small amount of air toward the floor and side window outlets. Vacuum is supplied to both the mode and defroster actuators. These actuators retract, opening the defroster door and closing the mode door. Recirculation mode is not available in FRONT DEFROST. The rear window defogger does not affect the HVAC system at all.
