2001 Chevrolet Impala PoliceSECTION Removal & Installation (Except Lumina)
  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor electrical connector. Remove 3 bolts from inner fender brace and remove brace. Loosen clamps securing air intake duct/MAF sensor to air cleaner housing and throttle body.
  2. Carefully remove air intake duct/MAF sensor from air cleaner housing and throttle body. Remove screws from both sections of air cleaner housing. Remove air cleaner housing cover assembly. Remove Powertrain Control Module (PCM) with harness connectors attached from PCM housing. Disconnect PCM harness connectors. To install, reverse removal procedure. After installation, perform computer relearn procedure. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION.
