Diagnostic Aids
If DTC cannot be duplicated, the information included in the FREEZE FRAME/FAILURE RECORDS data can be useful in determining vehicle mileage since DTC was last set.
FAIL COUNTER and PASS COUNTER can help determine how many ignition cycles the diagnostic reported a pass or fail. Operate vehicle within conditions for running the DTC as specified in CODE ENABLE CRITERIAΒ , or as close to conditions noted in FREEZE FRAME/FAILURE RECORDS data as possible.
Check poor connections or proper terminal tension. Check for corrosion, mis-routed harness, rubbed-through wire insulation or a wire broken inside insulation.
