2001 Chevrolet Chevy Express G3500, Van Passenger Extended, 6.5 FSECTION Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Hinge To Hood Bolts

  1. Align the hinge within the scribed marks on the hood.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the bolts attaching the hinge to the hood.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the hinge to the hood bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  4. Fig 2: Hinge To Frame Rail Nuts

  5. Align the hinge base within the marked areas on the side rail.
  6. Install the nuts attaching the hinge to the side rail.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the hinge to the frame rail nuts to 25 N.m (18 lb in).

  8. Install the struts.
  9. Remove the support and carefully lower the hood.
  10. Adjust the hood fit as necessary.
