- Drain the cooling system. Refer to DRAINING AND FILLING COOLING SYSTEM .
- Remove the upper surge tank nuts.
- Loosen the surge tank side nut.
- Reposition the surge tank inlet hose (1) clamp.
- Remove the surge tank inlet (1) hose from the surge tank.
- Reposition the surge tank outlet hose (2) clamp.
- Remove the surge tank outlet hose (2).
- Reposition the heater outlet hose clamp from the surge tank.
- Remove the heater outlet hose from the surge tank.
- Remove the surge tank.
