2001 Chevrolet Chevy Express G3500, Van Passenger Extended, 6.5 FSECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front bucket seat. Refer to SEAT REPLACEMENT - BUCKETΒ  .
  2. Remove the front seat back from the front seat. Refer to SEAT BACK REPLACEMENT - FRONTΒ  .
  3. Remove the front seat headrest. Refer to HEAD RESTRAINT REPLACEMENT - FRONT SEATΒ  .
  4. Remove the front seat armrest. Refer to ARMREST REPLACEMENT - FRONT SEATΒ  .
  5. Separate the J-hook retainer at the bottom of the seat back cover.

  6. Position the front seat back cover end flaps for access.
  7. Remove the side air bag from the front right and/or left seat.

  8. Separate the seat back cover from the front retainer at the side impact airbag.

  9. Separate the seat back cover from the rear retainer at the side impact airbag.
  10. Separate the hook and the loop retainers securing the front seat back cover to the pad.

  11. Remove the front seat back cover from the seat back, by pulling the seat back cover up and over the pad.

  12. Remove the hog rings from the front seat back cover to the pad.
  13. Remove the front seat back cover from the pad.
