- Remove the side door stepwell mat. Refer to MAT REPLACEMENT - STEPWELL .
- Remove the bolts that retain the check assembly cover.
- Remove the check assembly cover from the stepwell.
- Remove the nuts (2) that retain the check assembly (1) to the sliding side door lower track (3).
- Remove the check assembly (1) from the sliding side door lower track (3).
