2001 Chevrolet Chevy Express G3500, Van Passenger Extended, 6.5 FSECTION Test B: Cruise Control Indicator Inoperative

  1. Perform CRUISE CONTROL DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECKΒ . Once test has been performed, go to next step.
  2. Turn on the ignition, with the engine off. If the cruise indicator illuminates during bulb check, go to next step. If not, go to step Β 6.
  3. Install scan tool. Operate the vehicle within the parameters for enabling the cruise control, and set the cruise control. Observe the cruise lamp parameter in the IPC data list. If the scan tool indicates that the cruise lamp is commanded on, go to step Β 5. If not, go to next step.
  4. Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the PCM. If you found and corrected the condition, go to step Β 7. If not, see SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - 3.5L or SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - 4.0L .
  5. Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the IPC. If you found and corrected the condition, go to step Β 7. If not, go to next step.
  6. Replace the Instrument Panel Cluster. See ANALOG INSTRUMENT PANELS - AURORA. Once you complete the repair, go to next step.
  7. Operate the system in order to verify the repair. If condition is not corrected, go to step Β 2.
