2001 Chevrolet Chevy Express G2500, Van Passenger Extended, 5.0 MSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Install the IAH relay.

  3. Install the IAH relay assembly to the housing.

  5. Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.

    Install the IAH relay controller nuts and washers.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the nuts to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

  7. Install the IAH relay controller cover.

  9. Install the IAH relay controller.
  10. Install the IAH relay controller bolts (2).

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

  11. Install the battery cables and nuts to the IAH relay controller.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the nuts to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

  13. Reposition the battery cable boots (1).

  15. Connect the IAH relay electrical connector (3).
  16. Connect the engine harness connector (2).

  18. Install the upper intake manifold cover.
  19. Install the upper intake manifold cover to the outlet duct.
  20. Tighten the outlet duct clamp at the upper intake manifold cover.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the clamp to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

  21. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Auxiliary Battery) , Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Single Battery) in Engine Electrical.
