- Ensure the headlamp switch is in the OFF position.
- Remove the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement (Luxury) , Knee Bolster Replacement (Non-Luxury) in Instrument Panel, Gauges, and Console.
- Squeeze the sides of the instrument panel storage compartment.
- Pull out the compartment.
- Remove the ashtray assembly by unsnapping the retainers.
- Remove the lamp assembly and the shield from the top of the ashtray bracket.
- Remove the shield from the lamp assembly.
- Remove the bulb from the base by pulling the bulb straight out of the base.
